Kushan Empire Kanishka I (c. 127/8-152 AD) AE Drachm (4.63g,20mm).
Obverse:King standing, head left, sacrificing over altar and holding standard; Bactrian legend around.
Reverse:Goddess Nana standing right, nimbate, holding bowl and protome of animal; Bactrian legend NANA at left.
The eastern type is assigned by Mitchiner to the Kashmir region, with its distinctive style and an extra tamgha to the left of the fire altar on obverse.
Mitchiner lists this type only for 3 deities – Mithra, Mao and Oesho – none for Nana.
The quarter unit is hard to find.
